ABSTRACTS

  • Submission of abstract

Abstracts are to be sent on open conference system (ocs) absolutely before 15th of February, 2017.

  • Abstract Structure

The submitted abstract must follow Abstract template, which could be downloaded from abstract template. Authors are asked not to use customized text formats in order to ensure the uniform appearance of articles.

  • Abstract File name

surname_name_abstract.doc (example: Urios_David_abstract.doc) in Word 97–2004 format file (*.doc). This is the only acceptable file name.


Steps to complete the abstract submission on ocs:

Step1. Starting the submission:

– Conference Track

– Submission Checklist

– Copyright Notice

– Comments for Conference Director (optional)

Step 2. Entering the Submission’s Metadata

– Authors

– Title and Abstract (Copy and paste the abstract in the text box following the abstract template:

   title, author name, affiliation, address, e-mail address, telephone number, keywords, 250 words and references)

– Indexing (Language en=english)

– Supporting Agencies  (optional)

Step 3. Uploading Supplementary Files.

To upload the abstract file to this conference, complete the following steps.

– Click Browse (or Choose File or examinar) which opens a Choose File window for locating the file on the hard drive of your computer.

–  Locate the file you wish to submit and highlight it.

– Click Open on the Choose File window, which places the name of the file on this page.

– Click Upload on this page, which uploads the file from the computer to the  conference’s web site and renames it following the conference’s conventions.

– Once the submission is uploaded, click Save and Continue at the bottom of  this page.

Step 4a. Add a Supplementary File Metadata

-Supplementary File Metadata. Just need to:

Fill the Title Box with the same name as the abstract file, surname_name_abstract.doc (submission principal contact) example: Urios_David_abstract

Type: «Other»

Step 4. Confirming the Submission

-Click «Finish Submission»


PAPERS

  • Submission of paper

Papers are to be sent on open conference system until 15th of June, 2017.

  • File name

surname_name.doc (example: Urios_David.doc) in Word 97–2004 format file (*.doc). This is the only acceptable file name.

  • Paper Structure

The submitted paper must follow Full paper template, which could be downloaded from website valencia2017isufh.com.

Authors are asked not to use customized text formats in order to ensure the uniform appearance of articles.

1. Title of the paper

  • Typeface: ‘Times New Roman’, size 16 pt, in bold type.

2. Author

  • Author’s Name and Surname (for each author), Institution or University, professional postal and email address.
  • Typeface: ‘Times New Roman’, size 10 pt, single-spaced.

3. Abstracts

  • Less than 250 words;
  • Typeface: ‘Times New Roman’, size 10 pt, in italic, single-spaced.

4. Keywords

  • A maximum of five significant words in English.
  • Typeface: ‘Times New Roman’, size 10 pt, in italic, single-spaced.

5. Text

  • English language, not more than 4000 words including references and bibliography are highly recommended;
  • Typeface: ‘Times New Roman’, size 11 pt, single-spaced, hanging indent style;
  • The titles of paragraphs and the first paragraph following this title should be aligned left, without indent.

6. References

  • It will not be more than 500 words (It is included in the count of the words of the text);
  • Typeface: ‘Times New Roman’, size 10 pt, single-spaced, hanging indent style.
  • Authors’ name and dates are given in the body of the text, for example (Biddle and hill, 1971), and references are listed alphabetically at the end of the paper, under the heading ‘Reference’, in the following form:

Biddle, M. and Hill, D. (1971) ‘Late Saxon planned towns’, Antiquaries Journal 51, 70-85.

Conzen, M. R. G. (1968) ‘The use of town plans in the study of urban history’, in Dyos, H. J. (ed.) The study of urban history (Edward Arnold, London) 113-30.

7. Images

  • Maximum of six images;
  • Images must have at least 300 dpi in *.jpg format and without royalties or copyright;

8. Image captions

  • They will appear at the end of the article, after the References;
  • They need to be written in typeface Times New Roman, size 10 pt, single-spaced, without indent.
